DBIA-UM Projects of the Quarter

DBIA-Upper Midwest Region has invited its members to highlight their design-build projects on www.dbia-um.org! We are pleased to announce the first-ever "Projects of the Quarter", which includes Sydney Hall (submitted by Van Sickle, Allen & Associates), Parkside Lutheran Home (submitted by Horty Elving), as well as multiple design-build projects by McGough. DBIA Issues Position Statements

Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Issues Position Statements that Address Design-Build Best Practices and "Integrated Project Delivery"

The Institute recommends clear articulation of evaluation criteria and the use of qualifications as a predominant selection factor; and clarifies the relationship between integrated delivery methods and the IPD contractual model. Click here to view these position statements in detail.

President's Article

Greetings and thanks for checking in here at the home for the Upper Midwest Regional chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America. As 2011 gets underway, I’d like to thank all the members of the steering committee for their dedicated efforts in continuing to champion the organization. In particular, we give our thanks to Bake Baker for his strong leadership this past year. As we look back at the accomplishments of 2010 and prior years, we can see continued progress on a number of fronts.
